In a position different from the majority of his colleagues in the Workers’ Party, federal MP Reginaldo López (MG), announced, on Tuesday (11/10), partial support for the opinion of the rapporteur of the PL Antifaction, MP Guilherme Dayret (PP), which tightens penalties against members of criminal organizations.
The parliamentarian explained that he agrees in particular with the article that stipulates that the same sentence – from 20 to 40 years – be applied to all those accused of association with factions and militias, regardless of the role each of them plays.

The MP considered that confronting the factions requires firmer responses from the state.
The Labor MP told the article: “I agree with the part Durrett said about increasing sanctions. It is important for us to take note and not let these sanctions go unpunished.”
