The employee who killed his boss in the fraternization at MG has been acquitted

The employee who killed his boss during an end-of-year celebration in December 2024, in the city of Claudio (MG), was acquitted by the Court of Justice of Minas Gerais (TJMG).

Aleandro Bastos, 36 years old, (Left in featured image) Accused of stabbing businessman Curly Fabricio to death during a company party. His acquittal was issued as of September this year, but was only announced on Friday (5/12). The accused has been released since December 31 last year, when he left Floramar prison in Divinopolis (MG), after obtaining a release permit. The defense of the murdered businessman’s family will appeal the decision.

Remember the case

This case occurred on December 21, 2024, when the employee and his boss argued during a company meeting. Curley allegedly told the employee that he was being fired from the company because he was considered a “very expensive employee.” Aleandro was the company’s longest serving employee.

According to Aleandro’s defence, the speech sparked anger. The employee broke a bottle of wine he had received as a gift from his boss on the floor. Curley warned him against this action, demanded that he clean the floor and locked the company’s gate, preventing Aleandro from leaving.

According to records, outside, at the social entrance of the company, Aleandro stabbed the businessman three times. Curley was saved but died in hospital.

In a note to CapitalsThe employee’s defense stated that they believe in Aleandro’s innocence and the truth of the facts revealed in this process.

The defense says: “After the entire process of presenting documentary evidence and testimonies, accompanied by statements of innocence from the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the defendant’s defence, Aleandro Bastos do Carmo was acquitted in the Court of First Instance by pleading self-defense. At the present time, the process is still being processed under the guise of judicial secrecy before the Court of Justice of the State of Minas Gerais, awaiting the appeal proceedings.”
