After days of unstable weather, Saturday will be sunny for the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Due to the influence of dry air, the capitals of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo will enjoy a warm weekend, with maximum temperatures of 28°C and 31°C respectively.

However, instability persists in areas such as northern Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo, as well as in the north of the country. Tocantins, north of Mato Grosso and south of Pará, will be in the path of severe storms, with rainfall of up to 50 mm per day, as well as strong winds that could reach speeds of up to 60 km per hour.
The existence of the South Atlantic Convergence Zone is responsible for the instability in these and other regions. The formation of this strong moisture corridor, which leads to instability, causes slightly more intense rainfall, with large amounts accumulating – explains meteorologist Cesar Soares, from Climatempo.
— In fact, there is also the possibility of floods and landslides due to heavy rains. These storms are also accompanied by lightning and wind. Soares warns that storms could reach the Federal District area.
In the south, the weather remains open, with few clouds and scattered showers, common in coastal areas, east of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and Santa Catarina.
– We are witnessing a rise in temperatures from the center of the country to the south due to the entry of moisture resulting from the instability that passes through Paraguay – says meteorologist Andrea Ramos.
In northeastern Brazil, relative air humidity will be low in states such as Ceará, Pernambuco and Rio Grande do Norte. High temperatures prevail in the region and thermometers show maximums of 34°C in Fortaleza (CE), 32°C in Recife (PE) and 30°C in Natal (RN).

The recommendation of the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) is that residents avoid encountering bad weather conditions, notice changes in slopes and, if possible, turn off electrical appliances and public power supplies. The institute also leaves a series of instructions for residents of areas that may be most affected by rain. He looks:
- Turn off electrical appliances and general power supplies;
- Monitor changes in slopes.
- Stay in a protected place, and in case of strong winds, do not take shelter under trees, due to the possibility of falling and electrical discharge, and do not park vehicles near transportation towers and advertising signs;
- In the event of flooding or the like, protect your belongings from water by wrapping them in plastic bags;
- Get more information from the Civil Defense (tel. 199) and the Fire Department (tel. 193).
