Caetano Veloso’s show at Estilo Brasil Festival, on December 11, is getting closer and closer, and fans already have a solid guide to what to expect at Ulysses Centro de Convenções.
The text of the show was revealed in the setlist that the singer performed at Espaço Unimed, in São Paulo, on November 29. This record is a dive into six decades of his career, combining an illustrious past with songs that “point to the future.”

The 21-track setlist shows Cayetano not afraid to mix things up, moving between insightful rock and melancholy ballads. Tropical hymns, such as “Alegria, Joy” and “Divino Splendid,” share the stage with later hits. Brasilia audiences can expect the danceable energy of “Odara” and “Gente” (both from the 1977 album “Bicho”).
The artist also looks back at the 1980s, which made him a successful and conscious trend setter. Songs like “Queixa” (from the album “Cores, Nomes”) and “Eclipse occult” (from the album “Uns”), released in 1983, demonstrate Cayetano’s ability to create captivating and innovative melodies.
The political line of the artist, who has reasserted himself as a “sensitive historian of public life”, will be present with the unexpected longevity of “Podres Forces”, from the album “Philo”. The song, which has returned to the spotlight for touching on the structures Brazil is still trying to unravel, is a high point of reflection in the show.

Objectivity is also ensured by tracks from the album “Meu Coco” (2021), such as “Anjos tronchos”, in which Caetano reflects on the digital world and social networks, and the new “Uma Baiana”, which he defines as “a prayer in the face of dark times”.
The solo show, which marked the artist’s return after the tour with María Bethanía, also included an emotional tribute to the 90s temple, with an interpretation of “Você Não Me Taught Me to Forget You” (famously voiced by Fernando Méndez). The show should end in full celebration with the song “É Hoje”.
Brasilia audiences will find Caetano in a “state of contemplation”, with a selected repertoire to look at his works generously, without being shy about reviving rock moments, such as “Vaca profana” and “Fora da Ordem”.
