The City of Rio, through RITOR and the Municipal Secretariat for Economic Development, estimates an impact – get this – of R$96.9 million on Rio’s economy through the visit of residents and tourists to the large Christmas trees installed in Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and Enseada de Botafogo. The number of visitors is expected to reach 2.15 million throughout the season, including locals and tourists.
