With the success of The Secret Agent, actor Wagner Moura is campaigning for an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, traveling the world with the film. To do this, he relies on fans from all over the country, including, of course, his old friend, Lázaro Ramos.

“He’s so happy. I think he’s beautiful. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen him so happy with this Oscar-nominated marathon. My little brother is there, I’m so proud. When I saw the movie I said, ‘Isn’t this guy a really good actor?'” Lazaro joked to GShow.

By working a full schedule, participating in dinners with voting members at award shows and film specials, and going on major American talk shows, such as The Kelly Clarkson Show, Lazzaro ensures that Wagner is able to talk with his friends.
He added: “Do you know that he has time to talk? We continue the conversation directly. I am now in the stage of taking care of him. I see that his schedule is busy, so every now and then I send a message like this: ‘What’s going on?’ Do you eat properly? Are you able to rest? Yes, brother, we have to do this.”

“It’s good to be proud of your brother,” Lazaro added.
The actor also commented on his expectations for national films in 2026, after the successes of “I’m Still Here” and “The Secret Agent.” “I feel like we’ve celebrated a lot the last couple of years, but in 2026 we’ll have more things to celebrate,” Lazaro said.
He commented, “The next films, I think, will have a great connection with the audience. You did a beautiful thing, which is turning cinema into football, and the fans were like that, and I feel the same movement with The Secret Agent.”
