The first and only free practice for Formula E in São Paulo was held on Saturday (06) at the Anhembi Sambodromo stadium after Friday’s practice was canceled due to a radio communication problem between the FIA and the drivers.
Work on the track opened for work in the 2025/26 season. Pascal Wehrlein, champion of the 2023/24 season, was fastest on the day with a time of 1 minute, 09 seconds and 853 minutes.
From first to seventeenth place, the difference was only 0.699 seconds, demonstrating once again that the electric category will provide competitiveness from start to finish.
Brazilian Felipe Drugovich, who made his debut as an official driver, finished ninth, just 0.393 seconds behind Wehrlein, while veteran and also local driver, Lucas di Grassi, was only 18th.
