During an interview with Metal hammer, Griffin TaylorIbn Al-Munshid Corey TaylorHe talked about his experience growing up with his father’s fame. He once told the story of Zeina seeing his father’s face for the first time.

He said:

“I don’t remember personally, but they told me that when I was a baby or very young, my nanny took me to see the band when they were about to go on stage. They passed it on to me – this was in the era of the mask with the stitches on the face (at the time of the album) Volume 3: The hidden verses (2004) – and I was scared, and obviously very curious, like, “Who the hell is this guy?” Then he started saying, “Hello, little man.” Then I started messing around with the mask and everything was fine.”

Griffin was born in 2002, the second son of Corey Taylor. He went on to become a musician as well, and formed the group Sold With a guitarist Jeremiah PughGuitarists Cole Espeland and Connor Grodzickiin addition to the drummer Simon Crahan. The latter’s father is percussionist Slipknot. Sean Crahanknown as tumbler.

Vending (pronounced Ven-DEAD) began their career in 2018, when the members were still teenagers. The premiere only took place in March 2020, before the pandemic forced everyone to practice social distancing. Since then, the group has released an EP What is // kill him (2021) and the album Sold (2024).

They were criticized by a certain portion of the metal audience because they were, in the eyes of some, beneficiaries of nepotism. The group has opened for Slipknot in the past, but Corey Taylor and Shawn Crahan say their kids have blazed their own path and deserve success.

In September 2025, the band suffered its first loss in its lineup. Connor Grodzicki announced his departure from the squad for personal reasons. The members stated in an official statement that they respect their colleague’s decision.
