88-110. UCAM Murcia devastates San Pablo Burgos with a major outside success

Burgos, December 6 (EFE). – UCAM Murcia showed an undeniable performance against San Pablo Burgos, imposing its rhythm, physicality and, above all, a devastating external success that characterized the game from the first quarter.

With several unleashed players from the threesome and a dominant Cacok on the inside, the Murcians dismantled a San Pablo, who only found a reaction in individual actions from Corbalán.

The game started with an intense San Pablo scoring quick points through Jhivvan Jackson and a solid start from Samuels in the side. However, the good local start was dashed when UCAM Murcia activated its deadliest weapon: the threesome.

Nakic opened the series from the outside and from then on the first quarter tilted clearly towards the Murcian team. Ennis chained another pair of threes and Forrest joined the underdog group, repeatedly punishing the Burgos defense that was unable to stop the visitors’ touchline.

San Pablo tried to respond with internal action, but Murcia didn’t budge. Thanks to external successes and powerful actions from Cacok and Cate, the guests ended the quarter with a clear lead (20-28).

Murcia remained in absolute control of the game in the second quarter, with Cacok dominating the game and taking a long time for the local reaction to arrive.

UCAM alternated the strength of the interior team with actions from Ennis, Raieste and De Julius and increased the lead to a lead of 20 points. San Pablo, on the other hand, tried to compete with targeted appearances from outside.

Murcia, much more solid and fluid, finished with a big lead in the second half (48-60).

The third quarter confirmed UCAM Murcia’s absolute control and although Corbalán tried to lead the local reaction with several consecutive actions, every small approach was immediately answered by the visiting team.

Murcia managed the pace with solvency and San Pablo only found continuity in Corbalán, but the missed free throws and inability to stop Murcia’s outside success prevented a comeback, although they did push again at the end to get back on target with -13 on the scoreboard (73-86).

San Pablo tried to keep the game at the start of the last quarter, but UCAM Murcia maintained control, especially on the rebound.

Fischer tried to reactivate the Burgos team (80-90), but Cacok again imposed his physicality with two consecutive actions (80-94), forcing Bruno Savignani to stop the game.

The end of the game left no room for surprises. De Julius and Forrest took over with a devastating attack from outside and in transition.

After another timeout by Bruno, Corbalán continued his contest (85-101), but Forrest continued, dropping point by point until the duel was finally decided (86-110).

In the final seconds, Nzosa secured the local equalizer (88-110), a result that reflected Murcia’s dominance over the final stretch.
