The Toledo Education Delegation opens its nursery with 160 paper figurines until January 10

The Provincial Delegation of Education, Culture and Sports of Toledo reopens its doors to the entire educational community and citizens in general this Christmas period. to visit his nursery, which continues to enrich its artistic content and values ​​after 16 years old.

If last year the configuration of the birth was modified with a new cast and new additions linked to the Castilla-La Mancha theme and a small school, in 2025 sMotorized parts and lighting were incorporated.

“A space dedicated to us a tradition deeply rooted in the culture of our province and our region, like the Christmas crib, which is full of symbolism and creates an atmosphere of unity and celebration in the delegation, transmitting universal values ​​such as peace, solidarity and cooperation, so important in the educational field, which we want to share with students, teachers, families and citizens in general.

This was emphasized by the provincial delegate of Education, Culture and Sports, José Gutiérrez, during the inauguration ceremony that took place to open it to the public, accompanied by the creator of the paper figurines that compose it, José Carlos González and his colleagues from the delegation.

José Gutiérrez highlighted the uniqueness of this Christmas nativity scene “which always surprises and admires those who visit it for the first time and also those of us who enjoy it year after year because in each new edition José Carlos incorporates new features that enrich it and make it timeless by merging the typical scenes of a traditional nativity scene with others that also allow us to identify the current events of our lives.”

And the new features of the Education Delegation’s crèche this year include more motorized characters, as well as several fountains, an oil mill, an olive grove, the representation of the child in the temple and period swings, as well as new lighting.

José Gutiérrez particularly highlighted a new element that is very appreciated in the educational field these days because “it is the school transport that its author included with an endearing characterization and imagine what it would be like at that time.

The nursery of the Provincial Delegation of Education, Culture and Sports (Avenida de Europa, 26) will remain open to the educational community and the general public from this week until January 10, 2026, and can be visited from Monday to Friday in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Monday to Thursday afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 6:00 p.m.
