Tatiana Franko, host of Vos podés, and Michell Rodríguez together with Kevin Pinzón of Criminal Conduct agree that telling life stories, especially in the case of Criminal Conduct, comes with a great emotional burden.

Franko explained that when she began her project, she focused on telling stories of women who have overcome challenges. I wasn’t aware of this dimension:

“As the project grew, I realized how important professional support from a mental health professional is. Every week I go to therapy because with so much information there is no way to move forward,” he said.

Michell and Kevin, who are also a couple, emphasize that their work is a joint effort. “We have learned to create a shell, but there are characters that remain very deeply engraved. What we try as a couple is to live our humanity: we try to meet with friends and family to change the energy,” Michell said.

For his part, Kevin pointed out that when he visits prisons, he tries to talk to the guards to get to know them and gain a more human perspective on these environments.

Microdose de Amor Propio, hosted by Katherine Porto, and Más Allá del Silencio, directed by Rafael Poveda, have a common beginning in which their hosts come from different backgrounds outside of the podcast universe.

Katherine Porto gained recognition for her acting career. He says that in a moment of inspiration he decided to record himself and later took his suggestion to Spotify, where he received advice to give it more professionalism and they chose the name of the podcast.

“I booked a studio in Mexico. I believe in angels and am an angel trainer, so I brought my archangel oracle to the studio. Without a script, I focused on connecting and channeling each episode. These first ten chapters were magical; they allowed the audience to instantly connect with beautiful and healing information,” Porto said.

For his part, Rafael Poveda confessed that he didn’t believe in the podcast format at first. However, when he discovered that this medium offered him the freedom to construct the thread of the stories, he even thought it was magical.

Alejandra Bedoya and Jeison Gómez, known as Aleja y la Grúa, recently married and host a podcast in which they collect everyday anecdotes from a humorous perspective.

Although his approach is based on spontaneity, both insist on the importance of seeing the podcast as just another job when a couple decides to tackle this project.

Gómez believes it is essential to have a solid idea and take the time to lay good foundations:

“You need a clear structure, prep work, branding, guest planning and precise planning of each episode and its sections. I always compare it to building a building: the stronger the pillars, i.e. the previous work, the more levels you can build,” he explained.

On his part Alejandra says they recorded multiple episodes of them getting upset with each other.but they always value engagement with the podcast and treat it like a job.

In many cases, they manage to resolve their differences during the recording because the humorous tone promotes relaxation and allows conflicts to be overcome naturally.
