The fourth Formula E race in Brazil took place this Saturday (06), at the Anhembi Sambodrómo, in São Paulo, and once again it was marked by controversy during the race, and also during conversations with journalists.

Mitch Evans has always had a great relationship with the Brazilian track, until then he had taken two wins in three races and finished second in March 2024, losing to Sam Bird on the final lap. After saying he hoped to retain his territory, the New Zealander had a race below expectations, in addition to being involved in an accident with Sébastien Buemi.

During the interview, Evans talked about his feelings with the car and how its performance affected his racing overall. Check it out:

It was a difficult day. Honestly, I didn’t have a good rhythm and great efficiency. Especially compared to last year. My running balance was bad. I feel like I didn’t go as I would have liked. But when you’re not afraid and you have the rhythm, you commit and you’re a little vulnerable. So yes, it was a disappointing day.

Speaking about the accident with Buemi, the Jaguar driver did not hide his displeasure at having been hit by the Envision driver, and consequently having to abandon the race.

I think it was a bit unnecessary. I was in attack mode, trying to regain my positions. Yes, it was one of the most difficult times. But in the end, I tried to do a better job.

Formula E will not return to the tracks until 2026, on January 10, in Mexico.
