sad sight
Once again, many of the recently elected representatives performed a disgusting parody of the oath. If the oath is considered a requirement for taking office, all these irresponsible eccentricities do not meet the requirements. Therefore, one cannot speak of the nullity of this act, but directly of its non-existence. The Speaker of the House of Representatives should have communicated this to everyone involved with a warning at the start of the session. The oath must necessarily be related to the function to be performed. “For God, the Country and the Holy Gospels,” “for God and the Country,” “for the Country” should be the only formulas to choose from. No more. It’s time for this sad spectacle to end once and for all.

I’m with them
Because I carry them in the depths of my soul. Because when the leaders of hate decided that their persecution was a state policy, they showed with their integrity and their silence that they were owners of simple but non-negotiable principles: loyalty, honor and patriotism.
I am with them because I consider them my brothers, although I would never dare to compare myself with them. In more than two decades of infamous harassment, no robed executioner achieved what he longed for: that just one hand over a comrade to buy a little freedom. They couldn’t. You can’t. They won’t be able to. And when the last of these heroes dies, there will be no judge or prosecutor left who can say that one of them betrayed his comrades.
I agree with them because they were between 23 and 45 years old when Argentina was attacked by Marxist subversion. Without hesitation, they went into a war for which they were unprepared. They knew that they were risking their lives and their souls for this. But home called them and they went.
I agree with them because the majority were not bosses, but officers and non-commissioned officers of the armed forces and security forces. They knew that ingratitude would be the final payment, but this crazy love for this country did not allow them to calculate risks or look for excuses. Those who judge her today – out of cowardice, ideology or thirty denarii – would never have had the courage.
I agree with them because they never bragged about anything. They performed their duty quietly, without speech or propaganda. They did what the land demanded and what we – fearful but demanding – demanded of our homes. At the end of the war, with their souls forever scarred, they returned to their bases, their barracks, their ships, their squads, their police stations… carrying with them pain that we will never know, for true men carry their wounds in their hearts.
I am with them because every day that passes confirms that revenge does not end in condemnation. The humiliation is permanent and there is always a judge or a submissive prosecutor on duty ready to authorize any additional or contingent inconvenience that requires revenge.
I agree with them because they never raised their voices when grudges happened to them. They never accused the nation of ingratitude. But neither did they lower their heads as many of those who applauded them joined the infamous chorus of politicians, journalists and citizens who now insult them in an attempt to purge themselves of their former admirations.
I am with them because they are the political prisoners of Argentina, buried in stinking dungeons since 2003 in revenge against the unseemly dwarves who have ruled us since 1983. Nine hundred and fifty-seven of them have already died in abandoned conditions. They have filled the common prisons while we – the beneficiaries of their sacrifice, those of us who are not Cuba thanks to them – look the other way.
I agree with them because if we had even a fraction of the decency they embody, we would admit that they are imprisoned by all of us. I agree with them because if we had a minimum
With some of their courage we would scream for their freedom: I am with them! I’m with them! I’m with them!

Meaning of Christmas
Traditionally, the nativity scene is prepared on December 8th to await the birth of Jesus at Christmas. This ancient Christian custom gives meaning to a comprehensive belief in values that go beyond the religious and call for harmony among all people, through actions that correspond to the basic norms of any society that wants to live in peace. For several years now, the nativity scene has been replaced by the arrival of Santa Claus and, strangely enough, the tree that we prepared on the same day does not correspond to everything that the nativity scene represents. The Christmas celebration is then overshadowed by the need for gifts that Santa gives us, family gatherings with exquisite dishes, lots of noise and pyrotechnics that distract us from the true essence of what we are celebrating. Jesus was born in a remote, lonely place, in silence and without much comfort, which the few animals brought to him on a night when the Kingdom of God was beginning to be confirmed on earth. I wish that all that the nativity scene represents to humanity will be celebrated once again in peace, with family and in glorious solemnity, in a time that deserves to be restored to its true meaning.

Paterile struggles
Micaela Urdinez’s article about the suffering of helpless young people with unspeakable pathologies and needs is remarkable and moving. The state is characterized by inefficiency, labor overpopulation and poor management, while its constituent parts in Congress excel only at competing in sordid brawls worthy of those of the worst suburbs. Society demands that the existence of the government organization be justified by dealing with these problems and not by enjoying a stronghold that guarantees them impunity and economic gain without thinking about their voters.
In order for citizens to feel well represented, a state that is present and able to act is essential.

bondage
“After the fall of Rosas, something else was needed, namely the restoration of the laws, the law, the principles. Above all, it was necessary to raise the spirits of this people, to straighten the spine that had been bent by 20 years of servitude…”
These words engraved in bronze by the great Sarmiento – saving the distances and the protagonists – seem to have been said for today (quoted by Chaneton A. 1937).

Debts
I have no doubt that part of the millions in debt that the Governor of Buenos Aires has taken on will be used to rebuild Bahía Blanca after the devastating storm that devastated it and which no one talks about anymore, just as he asked the President to use IMF funds for the same purpose. I also have no doubt that this money will not be used for his own presidential campaign. And if I’m wrong, a journalist should ask him about it so as not to look like a bad person.

Barrio Parque defends itself
Similar to Paris, Palermo Chico was designed by Charles Thays in 1911 as part of a walk through Palermo’s lakes and parks that the visiting public could take. In the 1960s it was a quiet, wooded neighborhood in which mainly large families lived, whose children were the protagonists of the streets. I do not forget that there was a certain sophistication in the fact that some famous people had already lived there, including Mirtha Legrand and Luisa Vehil – who was visited by her handsome nephew Miguel Ángel Solá – and in the elegant facades of the houses, which served as a backdrop for several film shoots. In the 21st century, with the inexorable changes that all cities have experienced, Barrio Parque has seen an exponential increase in prices per square meter, driven by the government in the energy and real estate sectors. This led to some events that suddenly put us on alert and later we learned that the reform of the building and business licensing law has recently been changed: a building with an 80 meter front that will bring a lot of traffic and then the intention to open shops on the street overwhelm the charm and tranquility of a neighborhood within walking distance of everyone. Concerned about the immediate future, we neighbors gathered in record time and filed an injunction to end this series of painful situations. This week, while we wait for an answer, a new measure without consultation disturbs our peace; Door-to-door collection of ecological waste is another attack on neighborhood privacy and security. Perhaps a solution would be to declare the entire Barrio Parque a city heritage site, with neighborhood assemblies to properly debate and communicate the changes before passing laws that harm all citizens, since Barrio Parque is a tourist area.
