The career that is a “scam”, according to a businessman
In an interview given to the podcast ‘Businessman without filters’, Ignacio Ruiz Barquin severely criticized a university degree, believing that it does not prepare for professional reality in Spain.
The businessman refers to Business Administration and Management (ADE). “I don’t know any other professions, but the ADE diploma is one of the biggest scams that there is in this country,” he said in the interview, shared via his TikTok account (@ignazioruizbarquin).
The businessman explains why he considers that the Business Administration and Management diploma is a “scam”: “It does not teach you how to manage, nor how to run a business, nor yourself, but the problem is that It’s worth nothing at all to you“.
Ignacio compares the ADE diploma with other diplomas in the scientific sector: “It is not like a engineering or medicinethey show you the whole body and you only want to do eyes, the methods they teach you are incorrect.
For this reason, “someone who has just studied ADE knows less about the profession of entrepreneur than someone who has not studied it and tried it,” according to the businessman.
The video, which accumulates more than 900,000 views and 34,000 likeshas generated opinions for all tastes, some in favor of “tiktoker”. “I’m seeing this while I’m studying ADE” or “They’re teaching you outdated techniques. In the end, the most important thing is experience,” some users said, while others pointed out that this is a situation that extends to more college degrees.
However, some users spoke out against the businessman’s opinion: “I did business, what today is called ADE, and I have earned a fortune in my life», “All the people I know who studied ADE end up with a notary or an administrative company.”
