Franco Colapinto (Alpine) concluded the 2025 Formula 1 season with a twentieth place at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. at the Yas Marina circuit in the United Arab Emirates and was unable to say goodbye with his first points in a competition in which he had to fight with a very limited car compared to his rivals.
The Argentine could do little in a race where attention was focused on defining the drivers’ championship where he celebrated Lando Norris (McLaren) Thanks to the fact that he came third and achieved it despite winning Max Verstappen (Red Bull).
The driver from Pilar started at 20° with medium tires, behind his partner Pierre Gasly and was unable to advance any positions at the start. Much of the testing took place at this location and continued as the other cars entered the pits. He reached 13th place, but when He pitted and drove back to his starting location.
Without tools to fight for position with other cars, he ensured his car arrived in good condition and smoothly capped off a bittersweet year in which he established himself in the big circuit.

Colapinto was one of the two drivers who did not score any points in a season in which he replaced Jack Doohan -the other driver without units- since the Emilia Romagna GP and drove the Alpine car in 18 races.
His best performance was eleventh place at the Dutch GP. Although he was unable to achieve the goal of giving units to the French team, he secured continuity for the next year as he was officially named as one of the two starting riders along with Pierre Gasly.
