Javier Cercas (Cáceres, 1962) is one of the most significant voices in contemporary literature in our country. His works have been adapted into more than 30 languages and have earned him unanimous recognition from critics and readers.

The book by Javier Cercas adapted by Movistar Plus+ is “Terre Haute”. A detective novel that won the 68th edition of the Planeta Prize, a competition in which it was presented under the title “Broken Glass” and under the pseudonym Melchor Marín – in reference to the name of the main character of the book.
The new Movistar Plus+ series, which adapts this novel, counts in total 6 episodes. It is created by Eligio R. Montero and directed by Eduard Cortés, accused a year ago of sexual harassment by more than twenty women, according to ‘El País’.
Michel Bernardeau (“Querer”, “Zorro”) plays in the fiction the role of Melchor Martín, a police officer who will lead the investigation into a double murder. They complete the cast of “Terra Alta” Marthe Etura, Ivan MassageGoya Toledo, Pablo Derqui and Bea Segura, among others.
Just two days after its premiere, “Terra Alta” is already a success. The series is among the ‘trends’ and ‘current series’ of the platform as one of the most viewed fictions, alongside other titles like “Anatomy of a Moment” or “Silence”, the new series by Eduardo Casanova.
