
A 38-year-old pharmacist was stabbed to death by her ex-husband this Sunday morning (7) in Santo André, on ABC Paulista. The crime took place around 8:15 a.m., Rua Dias da Silva, Jardim do Estádio.
According to the family, the victim Daniele Guedes Antunes was attacked at her home by her ex-husband Cristian Antunes, who did not accept the end of their relationship. They had been married for 20 years and had two children.
According to the police report, military police were called to respond to a domestic violence incident and, upon arriving on scene, found Daniele lying on the ground and Cristian lying next to her. He confessed to the crime to the police.
Police say at the time of the murder, the couple’s younger daughter, 11, was at home and witnessed the crime. The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) indicated that the pharmacist was transported to hospital by Samu, but that she did not survive her injuries.
The forensic investigation was requested and the case was registered as feminicide in the 6th Police District of Santo André. The knife used in the crime was seized and the attacker remains in police custody at the disposal of the justice system, said the SSP. According to Daniele’s cousin, she had already been attacked in October, but had not filed a complaint.
Other cases this weekend
The Santo André case was not the first of the violent weekend against women in Greater São Paulo. In Diadema, another incident of femicide resulted in two deaths in the early hours of this Sunday (7). The crime took place on Rua Yayá, in the Canhema neighborhood, in an apartment located on the 20th floor of a residential building.
According to information from the military police and residents, Milena de Silva Lima, 27, was attacked by her ex-partner João Victor de Lima Fernandes, 30. The couple had been separated for two months and had a son.
According to the report, Milena had arrived at the apartment shortly before the crime. João arrived shortly after, broke down the door, entered the property and stabbed the victim several times with a knife, hitting the neck and chest.
He then stabbed himself in the chest and neck with the same knife used in the crime. Both died in the bathroom of the apartment. According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), the crime took place around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday (6).
A neighbor heard the victim’s cry for help and called military police. When the team arrived on scene, they found the woman and the 31-year-old attacker dead, according to what was recorded in the police report.
“Due to the marks on the bodies, it was determined that after killing the woman, the man committed suicide. The scene was inspected and the knife used in the crime was seized,” the ministry said. The case was registered as feminicide and suicide at the 3rd Police District of the municipality.
In the Pedreira neighborhood, in the southern zone of the capital, military police were called to respond to an incident of domestic violence and arrested a 75-year-old man, accused of attacking his wife with a stick on Saturday morning (6).
The crime took place on Estrada do Alvarenga, in Balneário São Francisco. The report stated that a woman was assaulted inside a residence. Upon arriving at the scene, police found Márcia Rosana Alves Pinto, 43, with intense facial bleeding and clear signs of assault.
Given the seriousness of the situation, the team began searching the area and located the suspect, Antônio Pedro de Mendonça, 75, husband of the victim. The attacker was on a public road, wearing bloody clothes and showing bruises on his body.
Rosana was immediately taken to hospital and is being treated at the Pedreira emergency room. The suspect was also taken to the health office, where he was treated for minor injuries.
At the police station, Antônio Pedro de Mendonça told police that he had attacked his companion and said he had used a stick found in the backyard of the residence. The object used in the attack was not located during the police investigation.
According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), the Civil Police requested that the arrest of the old man be from flagrant to preventive. The case was registered as attempted femicide in the 98th Police District (Jardim Miriam).
