The President of the Republic, Arthur Bernardes, receives daily reports from certain states on the movement of revolutionaries marching inside Brazil (this rebel movement will be known as Coluna Prestes).
The members of the rebel group, now present in the territories of Maranhão and PiauÃ, act with energy, encouraging residents to participate in the actions. They also round up local livestock.
Rumors are spreading in these places according to which the revolutionaries, reinforced by the large number of participants, are trying to take control of the two states.
