Operations at Congonhas Airport, in São Paulo, were temporarily suspended this Sunday afternoon (12/7) due to the presence of kites in the airspace near the runway, posing a risk to aircraft safety.
According to Aena, the company that manages the terminal, the suspension took place at four different times, between 1:15 p.m. and 2:23 p.m., as a preventative measure to guarantee the safety of the plane. During this period, airport teams managed to recover 20 kites and monitor the area to avoid further risks.
