Andalusia recorded a total of nine deaths in traffic accidents on its intercity roads during the Inmaculada Bridge weekend, according to the provisional assessment of the special operation of the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) for those … festivities, with data collected between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. this Friday, December 5, until 8:00 p.m. this Sunday, December 7.
According to this report consulted by Europa Press, the first fatal accident in the aforementioned period took place around 11:10 p.m. last Friday, December 5, at kilometer 66.5 of the A-44 highway, in the municipality of Campillo de Arenas (Jaén). The accident consisted of a van leaving the road with an accident or “another type of accident on the left”, which left a 27-year-old dead and another seriously injured 20-year-old, who had to be evacuated to hospital.
The second road accident occurred around 1:40 a.m. last Saturday, December 6, at kilometer 5.4 of the SE-9020 road, passing through the Sevillian municipality of Utrera. It involved a side collision between two vans in which one person lost his life, a 51-year-old man. As detailed by 112 Andalucía to this agency, the accident occurred while the victim was traveling on the SE-9020 highway and, for reasons currently under investigation, he fell into a stream next to the road, at a bend known as Los Chapatales.
Concerning the third fatal accident, it occurred around 8:10 a.m. also on Saturday at kilometer 56.6 of the A-402 motorway, in the town of Alcaucín (Málaga); more precisely, the collision of a van and a moving car “with head-on collision”, which left one dead and one lightly injured. According to 112, paramedics evacuated an injured 47-year-old man to a health center. For its part, the Firefighters Consortium said that there was a deceased person who was trapped, and the displaced firefighters from Vélez-Málaga therefore had to free the body.
On the other hand, on Saturday, a death was also recorded in a road accident. in the municipality of Porcuna (Jaén)more precisely at km 32.4 of the A-306, around 9:40 p.m. It concerns a collision between a car and an olive tree after leaving the road, which caused the death of two of its passengers.
The fifth fatal accident recorded in this DGT report occurred on Saturday evening – around 11:50 p.m. – at kilometer 108.4 of the A-92, passing through Estepa (Seville). In this accident, two people died in a multiple collision and four other victims – two seriously and two slightly injured – were evacuated to La Merced Hospital in Osuna.
In Malaga
Finally, the last two fatal accidents took place in two municipalities of Malaga.more precisely in Ronda and Marbellaboth recorded during the day this Sunday.
