Country singer Mauri Lima, 55, brother of Chitãozinho and Xororó, died in an accident this Sunday afternoon (7). The artist formed a duo with Maurício, his other brother. The information was confirmed in a note from the councilors of Chitãozinho and Xororó.
“The fact is very recent and the information is still being investigated and consolidated, but we inform you that Maurício is doing well physically and is being assisted. The family thanks everyone for their affection and understanding in reserving themselves in this moment of deep pain,” the note said.
The accident occurred at km 372.7 of the BR-116/SP, in Miracatu, towards São Paulo, around 2 p.m. The collision involved a truck, a pickup truck and a van. There was one minor casualty, five moderate casualties and two deaths.
