
Norway dominated the match from start to finish, and it was up to the Brazilian team to try and chase the score. The Europeans started the match 7-1 and finished the first half with 18-7 on the scoreboard. Norway continued to dominate the second half and closed the match 33-14. Winger Emilie Hovden, who scored five times on five shots, was named best of the match.
Today, Brazil faces another daunting challenge. On Tuesday, at 1:15 p.m. (Brasilia time), the team will face host Germany in the quarterfinals. The opponents are undefeated in the competition: they beat Serbia (31 to 20), Uruguay (38 to 12) and Iceland (32 to 25) in the first phase; and Spain (29 to 25), Montenegro (36 to 18) and the Faroe Islands (36 to 26) in the second.
