
A man was arrested red-handed after trying to steal a luxury car on Saturday afternoon (6/12), on Avenida Juscelino Kubitschek, in Vila Olímpia, south of São Paulo. The suspect approached the victim on a motorcycle, posing as a delivery man, and pointed a gun at the driver, announcing the robbery.
The man was driving a motorcycle and posing as a deliveryman when he pointed his firearm at the victim. Two off-duty civilian police officers, who were passing by, intervened and stopped, but the criminal reacted by pointing his weapon at the officers.
In his attempt to escape, he dropped his weapon on the road. Despite the pursuit, the suspect managed to escape, but was later found at UPA Akira Tada, in Taboão da Serra, São Paulo Metropolitan Region, shot and killed.

According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the suspect was recognized by the police officers who intervened in the action and admitted to having participated in the theft. The incident was recorded at the Department of Strategic Police Operations (DOPE), with the support of the Armed Group for the Repression of Robbery and Assault (GARRA).
