The president of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj), deputy Rodrigo Bacellar (União Brasil), denied before the Federal Police (PF), in his testimony, having any relationship beyond the institutional relationship with the state deputy TH Joias.
Bacellar was preventively arrested last Wednesday (12/03) on suspicion of having disclosed confidential information from Operation Zargun. The operation targeted the leadership of the Comando Vermelho (CV) and resulted in the arrest of TH Joias.
“I met MP TH Joias when he took office. I had never seen him in my life. (After TH took office) I built a relationship, naturally, I am President of Parliament, I have to serve everyone without distinction,” Bacellar said in a statement to which Fantástico had access.
Arrested in September, TH Joias was accused of being the right arm of the Comando Vermelho (CV) faction within Alerj. The investigation indicates that he laundered money on behalf of the criminal organization, in addition to trading weapons and purchasing anti-drone equipment.

In a video to which the Metropolises had access to it, TH Joias seemed worried about what he would have to remove from his home, knowing that he would be the target of a PF operation. The disc would have been intended for Bacellar.
The Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ) of Alerj will vote, starting at 11 a.m. this Monday (12/8), on the decision that ordered the arrest of Bacellar, issued by the Minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes.
