
The Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) arrested this Sunday afternoon (12/7) a 60-year-old man who had just stolen several items from a commercial establishment in Núcleo Bandeirante (DF). The arrested suspect is an old acquaintance of the police, with 24 convictions for theft and theft.
According to reports, the man entered a room used by employees to store personal items, such as backpacks and clothing, during work hours.
As the author was leaving the premises, one of the employees noticed that his backpack had been confiscated and started running after the suspect who, during his escape, was holding a piece of wood and threatening him.
Police officers from GTOP 45, of the 25th Battalion, who were passing through the area, spotted the scene and were informed by the employee of the theft. Upon noticing the vehicle approaching, the suspect attempted to dispose of some items, but was quickly caught and detained by the team.
The man was arrested with the recovered items and taken to the 1st Police Station (Asa Sul), where one of the victims also went for the necessary legal measures.
