The President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro (Colombia Humana), requested this Sunday (12/7) an investigation into two bodies found in La Guajira, a peninsula located between the Gulf of Venezuela and the Caribbean Sea.
Petro suggested that these deaths may have been caused by U.S. government bombing in the Caribbean.
“These bodies appeared floating in the sea of La Guajira. I ask that forensic medicine identify them and coordinate with the Venezuelan prosecutor’s office. They could be victims of bombing at sea,” the Colombian president said on X (formerly Twitter).

US military forces have bombed around 21 ships in the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean since September, at the request of President Donald Trump (Republican Party), under the pretext of fighting drug trafficking.
