The disagreement between two families ended in a widespread fight this Sunday (12/7) in a steakhouse located in Setor de Clubes Sul, Brasilia (DF).
“It was widespread chaos, a moment of terror,” described a man present at the scene with his wife and children in a report to the Metropolises.
According to the customer, who did not wish to be identified, there was an exchange of punches and kicks, particularly from people who had children on their laps. Glasses were broken and two women were injured after being attacked by a man. An employee was seen with a bloody head.
THE Metropolises had access to the video showing the moment of confusion, where customers and some employees tried to break up the fight.
The confusion lasted almost an hour, until the arrival of the DF Military Police (PMDF) on site. The PMDF said it was a “general scuffle” and those involved in the confusion were taken to the police station.
Restaurant Statement
According to the restaurant, the episode began with an unexpected conflict between two groups of customers. “Unfortunately, this took on proportions completely out of step with the household routine. Our team intervened immediately to try to contain the situation and protect those around them,” explains the restaurant in a press release.
“The confusion ended up affecting not only nearby customers, but also our employees, who were injured trying to separate those involved. Such situations are not part of the environment we provide on a daily basis, which is familiar, welcoming and safe. We are already reviewing our internal procedures and strengthening measures to prevent such isolated episodes from happening again,” the steakhouse said.
According to the restaurant’s press service, the injured employee is undergoing examinations in hospital. The case is being investigated and handled by the 1st Police Station (Asa Sul).
