Liniker’s trajectory is a constant search for his own identity and secure affection. The singer, who began composing as a teenager after a romantic frustration, specifies that “since then, everything I write has been discussed”.
Despite his global success and his three victories at the 2025 Latin Grammys, Liniker does not hide his vulnerability. She admits: “I don’t consider myself a supporting character anymore, but I’m still very needy. I don’t have anyone to caress me.”
This fear of loneliness and this search for affection is a recurring theme in his life.
Music and poetry are the “greatest allies” and the compass of this journey of self-discovery. The album “Índigo Borboleta Anil” was a healing process for anxiety and panic attacks, and “Caju” is about “love, reconciliation and spiritual power.”
Liniker also uses poetry to save the essence. In the albums, she looks for “Lili”, the first name her mother gives her, and “the child” which she cannot find.
She recognizes that the search for self is perhaps the “function here on this earth”, composing on love and self-esteem.
The artist desires a place of affection where she is “humanized,” “respected” and “desired,” and where she is not the only one making the effort to be loved.
She recognizes that the revelation of her work, in which she is considered the “Liniker”, often ends up “hurting” the people she interacts with.
The composition and production process are also intimate. Liniker likes to be in the studio, because there the work “is always mine and someone else’s”, which allows him to define the sensation that the work should provoke.
This detail led to “Caju” being nominated for Best Recording Engineering Album.
