A 51-year-old woman lost her life and five other people were affected, including a minor, after a fire in a house in the municipality of Lugo, Palas de Rei, in the parish of San Xiao do Camiño. According to information from 112 Galicia, the event occurred around 6:15 a.m. this Monday and it was one of the victims who raised the alarm and specified that his house was on fire and that there were several members of his family inside.
The emergency center mobilized professionals from Galicia-061 Health Urxencias, firefighters from Chantada, GES from Monterroso and the Civil Guard. Once they arrived on site, Civil Guard agents warned that one of the people could not leave the house. For their part, firefighters worked to stop the fire which started in the lower part of the building and charred the wooden porch and various Christmas decorations. Health professionals, who mobilized two ambulances to the scene, confirmed the death of a 51-year-old woman who was in one of the rooms.
Likewise, five people, including a minor, were transferred to Lucus Augusti Hospital (HULA).
