Segovia, December 7 (EFE). – Viveros Herol Balonmano Nava faces one of the most demanding matches of the season this Sunday (6:00 p.m.) at the pitch of Bathco BM Torrelavega, third in the Asobal League, with the aim of recovering from the setback of the last day and reaffirming its competitiveness against one of the most reliable teams in the championship.
The team from Navarre faces this twelfth round after last Friday’s defeat against Sanicentro BM Guadalajara, in the last gasp of a game that left the players and the coaching staff “very hurt,” “because of the way it happened and because of the work done and because we didn’t manage to capture it in the game,” as their coach Álvaro Senovilla explained.
The coach emphasized that emotional management was crucial this week, “because if you want to build a solid team, the first thing you have to do is try not to fall into blame, not to get into situations that don’t help you at all, but to realize that the most important thing is in the preparation for the game, in the daily work, and try to transfer it to the games.”
Senovilla insisted that the aim was to make no mistakes to affect the game. “Don’t remember that failures can lead to more failures and try to keep up. Move forward and make this a process where we can learn and get better every day,” he said.
It is with this mentality that the team travels to Torrelavega, “with the concern that we will face a great team that does things very well and knows that it will be very complicated,” but also with the belief that they can “score, win and be very competitive” if they manage to stick to their match plan.
The Navaro coach defined the rival as “a group of players who are stars, who have been at Asobal for a long time and who have a very clear goal, which is to get into the top five.”
He also highlighted the offensive contribution of Moyano and Prokop, as well as that of Marcio, Isidoro and the wingers, as well as the balance of Oswaldo Maestro.
To have options, Nava Handball must take the opponent out of their comfort zone. “You have to show that you are also a team that is trying to get two points and be competitive while respecting the difficulty of playing against them,” said the coach. EFE
