What happened

Nanci and Raul had been separated since last Father’s Day, when the presenter’s daughter made a statement to the press claiming that her father was absent from her life. “My father was not present in my childhood. I grew up without having this father figure as a reference,” she said, sparking repercussions.

At the time, because of Nanci’s statements, rumors even circulated that Raul Gil was living in a nursing home. The confusion was such that it even involved Raquel Gil, the presenter’s granddaughter. On social media, she opened up about the subject and revealed that, along with her mother, she had received an extrajudicial order from her uncle, Raul Gil Júnior, known as Raulzinho, banning them from talking about family issues on the Internet.

“We cannot change our DNA, our last name, our relatives. But we are prevented from speaking. This makes me very sad,” Raquel said at the time on her Instagram profile.

Amid the repercussions, Raul Gil regretted the position of his daughter and granddaughter and asked them both to retract their statements.

“Oh, if all parents were like me. My daughter has never been in need, neither has my granddaughter. But despite this, I pray for them. If you could retract, I would thank you from the bottom of my heart, because millions of people judge me unfairly,” he said in a speech at the end of August 2025.

After the affair, Raul Gil and his daughter apparently grew closer. The video of the two dancers caused great repercussions among the presenter’s fans and suggested that the family dispute was behind him.
