A group suspected of posing as civil police officers was arrested after attempting to remove 36 animals from a farm in the rural area of Iracema, south of Roraima, on Sunday afternoon (12/7).
The gang used guns, body armor and even cattle trucks to appear to be complying with a false court order. Seven people were arrested.

According to the Military Police, the criminal action began to be discovered when a resident saw two armed men circulating in the neighborhood next to two trucks used for transporting livestock.
She called the police, who found a car with two men aged 44 and 51. The two men claimed to be “complying with a court decision”, but had no documents or support from legitimate authorities.
Based on this information, the police went to the farm. The guard said he found the gate lock broken, the door to the house breached and the internet cut, a tactic he said was to prevent any reporting.
A few days earlier, two of the same suspects had shown up on site, claiming to be police officers and recommending that the employee “not comment on the visit.”
The 42-year-old farmer said that when he arrived on the property with his daughter to try to stop the cattle from being removed, he ended up being threatened. One of the suspects introduced himself as a civil police officer, pulled out a gun and told him “not to intervene.”
The animals were already being prepared for transport, totaling 22 cows, 11 calves, a bull and two horses, a loss estimated at more than R$80,000.
In addition to the arrests, police seized a firearm, ballistic vests, cell phones, documents, R$7,100 in cash and a car used in the action. Livestock trucks were also identified.
The case was transferred to the Civil Police, who investigated the crimes of robbery, usurpation of public functions and arbitrary exercise of one’s own reasons.
