
A man died after an argument at the Sé metro station this Monday morning (12/8) in central São Paulo. The individual hit another passenger in the hand with a knife, then stabbed himself. He was transported to the Vergueiro Emergency Care Unit (UPA), but did not survive his injuries.
According to Metrô-SP, two passengers were taken care of by security agents after a disagreement, around 9:30 a.m. this morning. “The attacker hit a person in the hand with a knife then attacked himself. Both were taken to hospital,” he explained in a statement.

The perpetrator of the attack was taken to UPA Vergueiro, but he did not resist and died instantly. Police were called and are to investigate the man’s condition.
At the UPA, employees checked the suspect’s bag, where they found an object that looked like a bomb. Military Police (MP) and Special Tactics Group (Gate) are working on site.
Rua Vergueiro, where the entrance to the UPA is located, has been isolated and authorities are working on site. Searched by MetropolisesThe Public Security Secretariat (SSP) reported that there was still no trace of the incident. The case remains ongoing.
