The PL claims to have surpassed the million member mark, following a recently launched party growth campaign on television and social media and a spontaneous reaction to the arrest of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
“In 40 years of existence, the party has registered just under 800,000 people. In just 25 days of campaigning, 220,000 people asked to join. This is a historic record in the country,” says publicist Duda Lima, who coordinates the strategy. According to them, these figures should soon be reflected in the statistics published by the TSE.
