ElRubius laments the delay of GTA VI, which he says was caused by this aspect of Rockstar’s development, while IShowSpeed explodes with rage live on air.
No one wanted it to be real, but we’re sorry to say it is. GTA 6 will not be released on May 26, 2026as Rockstar Games has made the decision to delay it to November 19th of next year in order to deliver a much more polished and finished game on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Some sources (like Tom Henderson) have already anticipated that this could happen, while developers at Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar have assured otherwise.
The news of the delay of GTA VI, which It was posted around 10pm. last night.it was a media megaton around the world, to the point that the biggest streamers didn’t take long to react to this fact.
There was IShowSpeed, the famous American YouTuber, who I couldn’t believe what I was reading on his YouTube live. And then began one of the craziest reactions ever seen.
The speed guarantees that it will be ”a whole new man” when GTA 6 is in stores, since you can be married, have started a family, among many other things (have a dog, buy another house, etc…).
In Spain there is also fabric to cut, because IlloJuan informed ElRubius about the game’s delay last night live on Twitch. The Spanish-Norwegian couldn’t believe it and had to consult Twitter/X to find out the sad news.
Rubius believes Rockstar will make up for GTA 6 delay
Why was GTA VI delayed? Many mention that Rockstar is going through turbulent times due to the dismissal of almost 40 employees, as they were denied possible unionization and conditions in the studio were not the most appropriate.
This is not confirmed, so we must stick to the official version: Rockstar delayed the game to finish polishing it and getting it into the best possible condition.
El Rubius I think there is another reasonwhich has not been revealed because no one knows what will happen with the multiplayer aspect of GTA VI. He also regrets this decision, although I think it will be beneficial for many games which will be released early in 2026.
”I think the graphics engine, the story, the narrations and the gameplay are more than polished. But they may have problems with online mode. They want to be very ambitious this time”.
Rockstar may need more time to prepare what the new GTA Online will be with RPG and other news. Or perhaps it is simply related to the single-player game, although the Spanish-Norwegian believes not.
Rubio too believes that Rockstar will make up for the delay with a new trailer, images or even gameplay in the next few hours or days. Be careful, as The Game Awards 2025 will be held on December 11th, and you may be waiting for that date.
For now, the only news about GTA is that GTA V will be one of the games available on PS Plus Extra and Premium within a week, or at least that’s what this source claims. GTA VI will arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026… if nothing goes wrong, of course.
