The Legislative Chamber (CLDF) approved, this Tuesday (12/9), a bill which obliges police stations in the Federal District to inform the section when there are cases of domestic violence involving lawyers.
The project was transmitted to the Legislative Chamber by the Federal District Section of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-DF) on Thursday (12/04).
According to the proposal, notification to the OAB-DF must take place in two situations: when the victim is a lawyer registered with the section or when the attacker is part of the legal profession.

In the case of the victim, communication will only be made with the express authorization of the lawyer, with a guarantee of confidentiality. When the perpetrator of the violence is a lawyer, notification will be mandatory.
Approved by the plenary of the House, the project is now submitted to Governor Ibaneis Rocha (MDB) for sanction.
