Thus, anyone who already has active housing financing with Caixa, including spouses, regardless of the matrimonial regime, can apply for a new housing loan via the SBPE.

“The release of the savings requirement contributes to increasing the liquidity of the financial system, providing support for real estate credit operations in a scenario of increased demand. This measure strengthens the capacity of institutions to maintain the rhythm of concessions, even in the face of reduced savings balances, guaranteeing stability and continuity in serving the market,” explains the president of Caixa, Carlos Vieira.
Caixa and the government have adopted measures to expand access to real estate credit, such as raising the ceiling for loans from the Financial System for Housing (SFH) from 1.5 million reais to 2.25 million reais.
