
Immigrants from Brazil received more than half of the 411 deportation orders in 2024 and 2025.
In two years, 236 Brazilians have been subject to deportation proceedings. Figure which started with 101 in 2024 and increased to 135 this year: an increase of 33%.
Brazilians received almost 90% of notifications of forced abandonment of the country in 2024. Until November of this year, the PSP deported 386 immigrants, 35% of whom were from Brazil.
Evictions take place after the issuance of the notification of voluntary abandonment within 20 days, including 556 this year and, of this total, 238 forced removal processes.
The bureaucracy in Portugal even reached the abandonment process in 20 days, which the center-right Democratic Alliance government proposes to extinguish.
