The National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) has banned the use, marketing and distribution of 12 Swell brand home health products manufactured by the company Grupo JAC SA, due to the lack of health registration or the application of labels other than those approved.
The measure introduced by regulation 9039/2025 applies to bleaches, detergents, detergents, fabric softeners, degreasers and other cleaning products marketed on the market without appropriate authorization.
The irregularity was discovered during an inspection at the company’s factory in the Malvinas Argentinas district of Buenos Aires, which found that products were manufactured and distributed without appropriate records with the health organization.
Prohibited products include, but are not limited to: Swell Lavandina Water, Swell Concentrated Lavandina Water, Swell Chlorinated Gel, Swell Concentrated Detergent, Swell Cielo Laundry Softener, Swell Deodorant Floor Cleaner, Swell Tartar Remover and Swell Multi-Purpose Degreaser.
ANMAT ordered a health summary for the company and its technical director, chemical sciences graduate José María Rizzi, and informed the provincial health authorities and SENASA of the measure.
