With Christmas, many cities in our country take the opportunity to organize large fairs. Thus, like Vigo or Torrejón de Ardoz, where this time of year is one of the keys to tourist promotion, today Móstoles, south of Madrid, has installed “NaviPark”.
“NaviPark”, located in the central Finca Liana park in the city of Madrid, has become a place of pilgrimage for Christmas lovers. However, residents of the town claim to be fed up with the music that, day and night, disturbs their rest.
“We want them to put it in a place where they won’t bother anyone. We’ve been putting up with holidays here for 20 years, but before it was only the patronal feasts, in May and September; now it turns out that for the last two years we’ve been partying every weekend. Since the September holidays, every day there has been noise“, emphasized Goyo, who also added that they complain not only about the noise, but also about “the inconvenience of not being able to park”: “We have no surveillance and we want security, that there is a patrol circulating in the neighborhood.”
For her part, Puri, another resident of Móstoles, stressed that she was “happy” with the installation of the Christmas park: “The parking problem comes from the fact that there is nowhere left.. Regarding security, there are always police here, honestly. I don’t know anything, it has planning and control. “I live nearby and have no complaints.”
In the block of neighbors against, Carlos criticized the fact that the Finca Liana park is “a green park that they tried to turn into a fairground”: “It is being destroyed. What we want to clarify is not that we are against Christmas or the holidays, but that we are against all the inconveniences that this generates (…). The houses are across the street. »
“It’s true that NaviPark works until midnight on Saturday and Sunday; but during the May festivities, they work until 2 a.m.; at the September disco, they work until 4 a.m…. That’s all, We have enough for the whole year“Carlos said.
Finally, Carlos emphasized that “in big cities, There’s always a funfair on the outskirts” : “Why put it out, if the transport and parking are as they should be, and the program is interesting, people will go.”
