The mayor of Seville, Jose Luis Sanzdelivered this Wednesday to Lion Cub Brotherhood a commemorative painting by the artist May Perea. The framed parchment brings together the most significant moments of the Great Procession experienced in Rome in May … reflecting the similarity between the niches of San Pedro and the Puerta del Cachorro, scenes of the Jubilee in place of the traditional tiles, a branch of rosemary in memory of the Hope of Malaga and the reddish sky of Rome forming the cross.
During the event, the mayor emphasized that “with this gift We want to thank and perpetuate in the collective memory what the presence of the Most Holy Christ of the Expiration meant in the Vatican and in Saint Peter’s Basilica.. “Those were days that already belong to the history of Seville and its brotherhoods.”
The advisor emphasized that “El Cachorro is today more universal than ever and has undoubtedly become the best ambassador of Seville”.
