In April, the Ethics Council approved the opinion recommending the revocation of Glauber’s mandate for physically assaulting MBL activist Gabriel Costenaro, after the latter had offended the MP’s mother, who died a few weeks later. The Psol deputy appealed to the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ), but the appeal was rejected.
The MP went on a hunger strike for eight days, drinking only serum, isotonic drinks and water, to protest the decision of the Ethics Council which approved his dismissal.
This Tuesday (9), Glauber occupied the chair of the President of the Chamber, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), after announcing that he would bring the request for impeachment of the deputy to the plenary. At the Legislative Police officers’ retreat, Glauber claimed he was assaulted and filed a police report.
