Square Enix releases the free demo of Octopath Traveler 0 for PC and consoles that allows you to play the new JRPG for 3 hours, less than a month after its release.
A new RPG adventure is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC before the end of the year. And no, we are not referring to The Adventures of Elliot, but to the prequel to Octopath Traveler that will deepen what we have already seen in the first two installments.
Octopath Traveler 0, which was initially announced for Nintendo consoles and PC, will arrive next December 4th this year also for Sony and Microsoft consoles. The bad thing is that it will not be translated into Spanish and its physical Switch 2 edition is a key card.
Last night we could see a new story trailer at State of Play Japan, where the launch of a free demo in digital stores was also confirmed. For now it is not available on Steam, but it is available on consoles and the Microsoft Store.
The Octopath Traveler 0 demo is called ”Prologue”and we can practically say that it is a small part of the story that Now you can enjoy it on your PC or console completely free.
”It allows you to play the beginning of the game, the first chapter of three different story arcs of the Retribution story, and the first chapter of the Restoration story, or for three hours. Whichever happens first”.
You decide how you want to play Octopath Traveler 0. The only limit to this demo is that you will only be able to play for 3 hoursbut there are several options you can choose from.
Octopath Traveler 0 Demo Now Available
The new installment of Octopath Traveler hits stores on December 4th, but you can play it for free right now with the demo available in digital stores. It’s called ”Octopath Traveler 0 Prologue” and can be downloaded from the PS Store, Microsoft Store (Xbox and Windows), Nintendo eShop and Steam.
This demo starts with creating your character and then enjoy the introduction to Octopath Traveler 0 just as you will see it in the final version.
Your character will undertake the search for the Masters, the three antagonists of the story. Each has its own story arc.and in the demonstration you can play the first chapter of each.
Or, on the contrary, focus on one of the three arcsand for example finish the arc ”The Flame Lighters” instead of trying the other two. The only limitation is that you can play for a maximum of 3 hours.
The good thing is that All progress you made in the demo will carry over to the final version (as long as you play on the same platform) then the 3 hours won’t fall on deaf ears.
”When you launch the full game and save your demo data, you can transfer your title screen data. This way, you can continue playing right where you left off”.
