The events occurred on October 25 and the investigation remains open, but some important data has already emerged: the national police have so far arrested 57 people who allegedly participated in a monumental fight in GrenadeBefore … of the Second Division A football match between the local team and the Cádiz Football Club.
Police sources confirmed that the first investigations were carried out from Granada but, given the scale of the case, they were extended to the provinces of Cádiz and Malaga –in both cases there were arrests- and towards localities which seem to clash a lot in this affair, such as Cartagena or Burgos.
The operation was coordinated by the Information Brigade of the Main Station of the National Police Corps in Madrid and it is not closed yet. Some people suspected of having participated in the brawl remain to be identified. However, the same sources indicated that the most logical thing is that there are only a few additional arrests, there will not be many.
The fight took place shortly after 1 p.m. near the stadium. New Los Carmenes and not only the radical supporters of Granada and Cádiz took part, but also those of the Málaga Club de Fútbol, who came expressly for the occasion.
Most of the detainees have already made statements before the Court of Instruction number 6 of Granada, the one which is handling the case, and found themselves in a situation of provisional releasebut while waiting for the investigation to be closed. During this massive fight, clubs and brass knuckles were used, which were confiscated by the police.
As expected, the fight received a lot of attention and that’s why stills and images abound on social media. videos recorded by witnesses. This made it possible to identify many ultras and also to know those who were transporting elements likely to cause damage, which would increase their sanction if they were proven.
