Transparency and stability
The Andalusian executive called since 2019, after the arrival of the PP in San Telmo, more than 33,000 places of different specialties, as part of the strategy for stabilizing teaching staff, a “will to which we are committed”. It is not for nothing, he stressed, that the rate of temporary employment in education in Andalusia is 18.9%, the lowest in Spain and more than 12 points below the average.
Castillo also recalled that temporary workers can continue to participate in stabilization processes. And that the regional executive has requested a 100% replacement rate since 2020, which “is the first time this has been done in Andalusia”. In addition, the department launches competitions for all specialties, in turn, within a maximum period of three years. And, for the majority, one year yes and another year no.
Finally, Castillo emphasized that the Andalusia’s selective processes are those with the “greatest transparency” at the national level. Candidates can access a copy of the first exam, at the request of opponents; know in advance the criteria and rubrics, as well as their application in the test; They know what rating each court member gave in each section; and, at the end of the procedure, all the practical tests offered, as well as the statistics, are published.
