Investigations began after the Social Security Intelligence Center identified a suspicious pattern. The employee had authorized and approved services using false marriage certificates and even in the names of deceased persons.
Based on this discovery, the Social Security Task Force, formed by the PF and the Ministry of Social Security, began a broader review of the processes analyzed by the employee.
The investigation revealed that she made appointments outside of working hours, in addition to using the data of a dispatcher, identified as a direct partner in the fraud.
Initially, the loss identified was around R$200,000, but the PF is already working on the possibility that the project involved sums of up to millions, diverted from unduly paid benefits with falsified documents.
The people involved may be held responsible for forgery of documents, use of false documents, social security fraud and insertion of false data into an information system.
