Federal deputy and president of the Public Security and Combating Organized Crime Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Paulo Bilynskyj (PL-SP), said the commission would file a request for house arrest after inspecting the cell in which former President Jair Bolsonaro is being held.
Bolsonaro is serving a sentence of 27 years and 3 months at the Regional Superintendence of the Federal Police, in Brasilia, for his conviction for leading the coup plot.

According to Bilynskyj, what the commission expects is for the former president to be placed under house arrest and for a “detailed report to be produced with all the information collected.”
“Inside his home he will have access to health care, appropriate food and medicine and, above all, the necessary physical activity. There is no space for physical activity in this place. Where he is left free for two hours,” explained the parliamentarian.
Criticism of the cell
The MP criticized the cell where the former president is serving his sentence, saying he is in a “solitary regime”.
“He is imprisoned for 22 hours a day. In a room measuring 3 by 4 meters. This does not exist in Brazil. He only has the right to leave his cell for two hours a day,” he said.
According to Bilynskyj, there is a refrigeration unit that shares the wall with Bolsonaro’s cell, generating constant noise that causes discomfort. “It’s torture,” the MP said.
