The news was officially announced by the local president, who confirmed the impact on the transformation of mobility in the Colombian capital, a demand that has remained unmet for more than eight decades.
The operation includes funding from the European Investment Bank, a body that complements the participation of the World Bank and the IDB.
Mayor Galán emphasized in an institutional statement that “with these funds, in addition to those of the European Investment Bank, we have guaranteed the financing of the metro for the next year”.
