THE supermarket chain ALDI announced this Thursday in a press release that it had strengthened its presence in the province with two openings in a week, in Palma del Río and Pozoblanco. The company already has seven establishments and staff who … exceeds 90 workers in Cordoba. During 2025, the company increased its retail space by 38%, from 5,346 square meters to 7,369, thanks to recent openings.
This channel indicated that this growth is accompanied by “commitment to products own of province and with the suppliers which are part of the agri-food fabric Cordoba“.

Customers accessing the new Aldi in Pozoblanco
ALDI inaugurated this Thursday its first supermarket in Pozoblanco, located on Avenida de la Salchi, s/n. The new establishment has 1,000 square meters of sales area and is open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., also open on Sundays during the Christmas holidays. In addition, the establishment employs 14 employees, including 13 residents of the town.
Quality products at low prices
“Our goal is provide savings opportunities for every time more families from Cordoba, with an assortment of demanding quality at the lowest possible price. To do this, we base our offer on own-brand products of national origin”, underlined Gerardo García, responsible for ALDI’s expansion in the region, during the opening ceremony. “In Andalusia we collaborate with 80 regional suppliers and offer more than 250 local products”, he added.
The company’s commitment to Cordoba is part of the growth supported by ALDI in Andalusia. The region already has more than 110 supermarkets and a workforce of more than 1,500 employees, positioning itself as one of the communities with the greatest presence of this chain in Spain.
In all its supermarkets, ALDI offers products of quality at low prices. To achieve this, 9 out of 10 products are own brand and 8 out of 10 are of national origin, a commitment to quality and proximity. In addition, this holiday season, it is expanding its offering with more than 150 gourmet products from the Special range at affordable prices.
