The Provincial Delegation of Toledo has reaffirmed its commitment to people in situations of particular vulnerability through the approval of direct aid worth 37,000 euros for five leading social entities in the province. The objective is to strengthen … care, inclusion and improvement of the quality of life of groups facing intellectual disabilities, sudden brain injuries, Parkinson’s disease or autism spectrum disorders, as well as supporting their families in the development of life projects with equal opportunities.
The provincial institution indicated that these subsidies, formalized by collaboration agreements, respond to the unique and socially priority nature of the projects presented. The aid aims to ensure that specialist resources reach both urban and rural areas, where access to services is less and support for families is essential. The Provincial Council emphasizes that this commitment contributes to reduce territorial inequalities and strengthen social cohesion in the province.
Among the beneficiary entities is Full inclusion Castile-La Manchawhich receives 8,000 euros to develop the project “Strengthening family support and Rural inclusion‘. This initiative will allow more than 400 families to be supported by in-person and telematic interventions in municipalities where specialized services are less available, providing them with emotional support, advice and tools to improve the community life of people with intellectual disabilities.
The Iguala 3 Association will have 5,000 euros for the program ‘Support for minors whose loved ones are suffering brain damagefocused on providing psychological and social support to minors who experience situations of particular fragility resulting from head trauma in their family environment. The objective is to improve coexistence, prevent situations of emotional stress and provide resources adapted to each case.
5,000 euros will also be allocated to Adepar Castile-La Mancha for the “En Marcha 2025” project, aimed at people affected by Parkinson’s disease. The initiative includes physiotherapy and speech therapy sessions aimed at improving mobility, coordination, speech and swallowing, areas particularly affected by the progression of the disease and determinants of maintaining personal autonomy.
The Mother of Hope Foundation will receive 10,000 euros to promote the project “Inclusion in the community and improvement of quality of life through culture, sport and inclusive leisure”. The proposal encourages the active participation of people with intellectual disabilities in cultural, sporting and leisure activities that promote the development of skills, self-esteem and social integration in their environment.
Finally, the TEA Talavera Association It provides aid of 9,000 euros for the “I want and I can: Professional training and adult life” program. This project provides individualized support to people with autism spectrum disorders in their transition to adulthood and their integration into the labor market, by offering them training, guidance and support in real work environments.
With the signing of these agreements, the Provincial Delegation of Toledo underlines its desire to continue collaborating with the entities that work daily to improve the quality of life of those who face greater difficulties. According to the institution, this aid consolidates a model of care focused on personal autonomy, social inclusion and equitable access to specialized resources throughout the province, with particular attention to rural areas.
